HEINEKEN announces strategic distribution transition in French Polynesia

Papeete, Tahiti — 23 January 2026

HEINEKEN today announced a transition of its distribution rights in French Polynesia from Kim Fa to Brasserie de Tahiti, the local producer of Heineken® since 1975.

This strategic move reflects HEINEKEN’s long-standing commitment to consumers in French Polynesia, ensuring continued access to the world’s most iconic beer, while delivering greater efficiencies through a fully integrated local production and distribution model.

Partnering with Brasserie de Tahiti allows HEINEKEN to build on decades of brewing expertise and a strong local distribution network, supporting reliable availability and enabling continued brand investment as part of Brasserie de Tahiti’s broader beverage portfolio.

Paul Hulsbosch, Country Manager, HEINEKEN Asia Pacific Beverages, said :

“We extend our sincere gratitude to Kim Fa for its pivotal role in building Heineken’s presence in French Polynesia over the past 6 decades.

This transition is about continuity and progress – keeping Heineken accessible and competitive for consumers. Building on 50 years of partnership with Brasserie de Tahiti, we remain focused on delivering consistent quality, dependable supply and experience.

For decades, Heineken has been brewed locally in French Polynesia to our uncompromising international standards, and consumers will continue to enjoy the same crisp, refreshing taste they know and love – now supported by a more integrated local production and distribution model.”

HEINEKEN is committed to managing this transition responsibly and transparently, ensuring a seamless experience for retailers, partners, and consumers throughout the process.
